Bread of Life

Since 1939, the Bread of Life Mission has been changing the lives of those who are homeless, poor and struggling with addiction through the power of Christ and the extraordinary support of our community. This program provides a safe environment for those in need. Offering a meal and the dignity of a shower and clean clothing is just the beginning. They reach beyond the physical needs of a person by offering an opportunity to truly heal and experience lasting change in their lives.

Compassion

A child-advocacy ministry pairing compassionate people with children living in extreme poverty to release the children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty. Compassion is a Christian charity dedicated to releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name. Through sponsorships and donations, they empower local churches to provide individualized and holistic care to children in poverty so they are free to learn, grow, play and dream.

Camp Cowichan

The Cowichan River Bible Camp is located on 40 acres of beautiful, treed property just west of Duncan, British Columbia, Canada.

Our Children’s Camp is an opportunity for young ones to have fun and enjoy the outdoors, enthusiastic games as well as experiencing a positive Christian atmosphere. Chapel time is spent learning to worship Jesus in song, hearing the Gospel, some children for the first time. We were encouraged to see many children respond to the message and several families of those children now attending church.

Family Camp is a much appreciated, relaxing and life changing experience. This could be the getaway that many families are waiting for! There are a multitude of daily activities, special events and chapel services designed to be fun while focusing on understanding the Bible and deepening their Christian walk.  A wonderful opportunity for a time away which includes lodgings, meals, activities and times of refreshing worship and ministry for the entire family! Get ready for archery, campfires, volleyball tournaments, enjoying time in the Cowichan River, hiking, and most of all, spend time connecting as a family with other families (don't forget the kid's bikes!).

Youth Camp is a great time for teens to connect and meet with God. Outdoor pizza oven night, activities, and chapel time that includes powerful worship and hearing the Word of God. Many youths have found their camp experience sustaining them for the upcoming school year.

The Camp also facilitates several group rentals. The beauty, peace and rustic camp experience are enjoyed by many. We are thankful to be able to offer this place of God for others to come to and be refreshed and meet Jesus.

The Mission

Rancho de sus Ninos is an orphanage through which, since 1987, over 5,000 children have been rescued, loved and restored in an environment of radical faith. They are creating programs and facilities that teach what it means to have a healthy family of their own and taking care of the orphaned, all while relentlessly fighting to see entire families restored, prospering and healthy.

Global Harvest

The missions division of ACOP of Canada which envisions the good news of Jesus Christ being spread throughout the world by making disciples of all nations. They intend to achieve this vision by giving priority to reaching those who have little or no access to the gospel with the belief that they will inevitably become disciples who will reach out and make more disciples. SFGF supports these individual missionaries:

Elsie Welch

Elsie writes: “I was saved and called to missions when I was 11 years old!  God is faithfully fulfilling that call in my life and has taken me to over 60 countries, starting with Mexico for 11 years, Estonia for 7 and then to all the world!  I love to serve God!!  I love to see churches revived by His anointed Word, I love to see people get saved and set free from bondages, I love to see bodies get healed and lives absolutely changed!!  Only God can do that!  It is a privilege to partner with Him and with you dear folk at Shoreline Full Gospel Church.  Together let's TURN THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN!”

Jerry & Barbara Schuetz

Jerry and Brenda write: “In 1994, we left for Malawi, Africa for our first term as Global Workers.  All three of our boys were born in Malawi.

Alongside ACOP national leaders, we worked to establish a discipleship school, mobile Bible schools, a residential Bible college and church plants.  In 2000, we moved to Zambia to establish Heart of Africa Mission – a Bible and vocational

training center.  We were blessed to work with Bible college students and ACOP national leaders to church plant, establish community centers – preschool, widows training center, school for vulnerable children- and equip church planters, pastors, and missionaries. In 2009, we moved to Tanzania to work among least reached people groups.

In 2010, we felt God confirm in our hearts to accept the role of mission’s directors for ACOP.  Currently, it is our joy to give leadership to global workers around the world and work with over 20 global partners of 1,000’s of churches globally.

Our hearts desire is to see workers raised up to take the gospel to many nations who have not heard of Jesus and to see His glory cover the earth. We thank the Lord for the great work He is doing among the nations!”

BRUCE & LAUREN LUNGREN

Bruce and Lauren Lungren have been international workers since 1989. They have 2 married children and 3 grandchildren. Their daughter and her husband are making disciples in Virginia, USA, while their son and his wife are making disciples in the Middle East. Bruce comes from a missionary family and grew up in West Africa. He and Lauren served in Burkina Faso for 15 years, organizing evangelistic campaigns and teaching pastors. They then served in France for 5 years, discipling new believers and youth, and training churches how to use the Alpha Course to evangelize their own people. Since 2011 they’ve been serving in Quebec, leading a house church, and building a mission mobilization movement among the French-speaking population.

They helped launch the English Kairos Course in Canada, the French course in Quebec, and since 2016, have introduced it in Belgium, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, and the Dominican Republic. Thousands of believers in these countries are now learning about the Great Commission, mission strategy, the power of prayer, and how to engage unreached people groups (ethnic groups with no exposure to the Gospel) be they immigrants who live next door or those who live far from our shores.

Bruce and Lauren have recently taken on the leadership of Simply Mobilizing France. Their dream is to ignite, equip and mobilize thousands of workers from the world’s 44 million French-speaking evangelicals for the 7,000 people groups (3 billion people) who still have little to no access to the Gospel.

Maria Elena Livingstone- Puebla Mexico Church

Maria and her husband Robert James Livingstone began hearing from the Lord that He wanted them in ministry in the early 2000’s, but they did not know where. After seeking the direction of the Holy Spirit for some time, it was an immigration issue that God used to direct them to Puebla in Mexico in 2003.

In January of 2004, they heard directly from the Lord that He wanted them to start a church in Puebla. Puebla is the capital of Puebla state, and at that time the city had a population of over three million people with very few Christian churches to be found in the city. They began by hosting meetings in their home and seeing many saved by Jesus. By 2007 they were able to begin construction of an official church building with the Lord’s provision.

Robert went home to be with Jesus in April of 2010, and since then Maria has continued in ministry with the Holy Spirit by her side, serving faithfully in partnership with supporters like our church.
